Web Developer

The Web Developer is responsible for providing the technical support required for The Chief of Staff Association’s website, online systems and processes. They will review existing processes and seek to make them more efficient, while also driving new initiatives as required.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead web development initiatives
  • Maintain website uptime & monitor security
  • Manage backend servers (Kinsta and Cloudflare)
  • Provide technical support for the CSA’s online webinars and events
  • Manage a variety of online applications, ensuring they are updated regularly and are being used efficiently
  • Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks
  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
  • Train staff on new software systems

Knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Advanced understanding of applications, including Zoom, WordPress, HubSpot, MailChimp, Zapier, Linkedin and Adobe Suite (Apple Mac environment)
  • Highly proficient in HTML, CSS and PHP
  • Strong knowledge of backend server management
  • Graphic design experience would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of social platforms including SEO, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Requirements

  • Have at least 3+ years of proven experience as a Web Developer, System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
  • Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Estimated salary of £55k to £60k per annum
  • This position reports to the COO

Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for marketing content across The Chief of Staff Association’s online and print platforms in alignment with the company’s purpose.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of the organisation’s overall marketing strategy and positioning
  • Maintaining the LinkedIn profile
  • Generate PR and organic content
  • Develop fortnightly CSA Insights EDM
  • Assist the editor-in-chief with commissioning contributors, proofreading articles and reviewing the design layout for The Chief of Staff Journal
  • Manage CSA website content
  • Developing copy and content for CSA Education programmes

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

  • Outstanding written communication
  • Experience leading marketing communications
  • Demonstrated ability to develop online content
  • Graphic design experience would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in applications including WordPress, HubSpot, MailChimp, Zapier, Linkedin and -Adobe Suite (Apple Mac environment)

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience, preferably in marketing or communications.

Financial Controller

The Financial Controller (“Controller”) will undertake most aspects of The Chief of Staff Association’s financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as be responsible for the development of internal control policies and procedures.  The Controller’s responsibilities will also include financial risk management.

The Controller shall act with their own authority, and may work collaboratively with fellow staff of The Chief of Staff Association (“The Association”) to realise the vision of the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Director.  The Controller will generally act with a degree of autonomy to ensure the untroubled management of the financial side of The Association’s affairs.

The Controller will be expected to work for at least three days per week, either in-office or from home.  The Controller will liaise, organise, and execute in relation to internal stakeholders including the Board of Directors, the CEO, other executives, HR, the office secretary, employees and staff.  They will also liaise, organise, and execute in relation to external parties including investors, consultants, legal representatives, representatives from financial institutions, and regulators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Book-keeping, both for UK and US entities
  • Accounts payable
  • Liaising with tax advisors
  • Invoice reconciliation
  • Bank account reconciliation
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • XERO computing software
  • UK book-keeping;
  • Running pay-roll;
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process;
  • Experience with creating financial statements;
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures;
  • The ability to prioritise work actions and follow-up with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy;
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure, handle multiple priorities, tasks, demands and time- sensitive pressurised situations;
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious relations with the organisation’s internal and external stakeholders;
  • Working in a fast-paced environment; and commitment to completing tasks on time and to the highest ethical and professional standards/

Requirements

  • The Controller ought to have 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
  • CPA/CA is not necessary, but is looked upon favourably.
