Consulate of the Republic of Guatemala

Guatemala is a country that is plentiful with exquisite landscapes encompassing extensive plateaus, cavernous valleys, vast jungles, palm fringed shores, mysterious cloud forests and an abundance of volcanos.

The people of Guatemala bring together two great traditions – colonial Spanish and Indigenous Mayan.

Set against a backdrop of rumbling volcanos adventurers will find hill side markets rich in colour, produce, music, embroidery, mountains of potatoes and corn cobs. Colonial towns and abandoned ancient cities of towering temples, pyramids, and plazas beckon to be explored.
The economy of Guatemala is dependent on traditional crops such as coffee, sugar, and bananas.

The weather is mild, not to hot and not to cold.
